In the 70s, before Jane Birkin was famously known as the muse behind the Hermès Birkin bag, the perennially stylish French actress was seen carrying a Portuguese fishing basket (seen above) everywhere she went. Inspired by her, many fashion insiders including Camille Rowe, Pandora Sykes and Jeanne Damas are now adding this rattan beauty to their repertoire of must-have bags.
About our basket: Each and every basket is handmade by artisans in East Java who have been in this trade of weaving rattan for decades. Due to the handcrafted nature of our baskets, we'd like to highlight to you that you may find slight imperfections with your product. Every basket is also slightly different in size and shape due to its handmade nature.
